SECRET GARDENS OF ST PIERRE DU BOIS - SUNDAY 5th JUNE 2016
A sunny afternoon set the scene for a splendid community gathering in the heart of our parish. Over 500 people came to enjoy a relaxing time wandering around nine enchanting gardens. Families took part in a mini nature trail through Le Ch'min du Trésor (our conservation meadow) and tried their luck on Gill Valler's traditional fairground games. 'Summer country flowers' was the theme for the wonderful flower festival in the Church displayed alongside Liz Walton's 1,500 handmade poppies - thanks to everyone who created these displays. And our sincere appreciation to all the garden owners who kindly took part in this wonderful afternoon
Tea and delicious cakes home made by very kind parishioners was enjoyed by all - either as a break between garden visits or to relax before setting off for home.
We raised over £5,000 and donated twenty percent to the church in support of our parish community.
