Meet the team
Our team leader - no job too big or too small! Known fondly as the 'hacker and slasher' at working parties!! Corrina's boundless enthusiasm keeps us all totally inspired.
Sue de Laune
Floral St P's floral display specialist. Sue's artistic flair, plant coordinations and colour schemes come up trumps every season. Her christmas wreaths sell out before she's finished making them!
Nancy has taken over our purse strings - and is keeping her beady eye on all our expenditure. She conveniently lives across the road from the community garden and kindly brings coffee and yummy cakes to round off our working parties!
All the 'Ps' - PR, publicity, portfolio and presentation - keep her busy at her computer. The rest of the time she can be found at working parties and fundraisers - a born profile raiser!
Our awesome octagenarians!!
Britain in Bloom
Bert is our oldest and dearest volunteer - he never misses a working party. He hates 'doing nothing' and masterminded our 'tomato arch heritage project'
A founder member of the Group - Al's main claim to fame is the legendary event he masterminds every Christmas when Santa comes to switch on the lights on our tree. (Pictured here attaching the lights to the tree!!)
Amongst Tim's other tasks he's co-organiser and judge (with Bert) of our annual Best Hedge Veg competition.
Deadheader in Chief!
Angela keeps an eye on all our village displays as she takes her dog Savannah for her daily walks. A keen supporter at working parties, Angela's flapjacks are legendary
Another founder member - and always there to help light up Les Buttes for Father Christmas! Paul has very kindly lent us areas at his vinery to bring on and store plants
A regular at working parties - as a landscape gardener Paul's knowledge (not to mention his tools and van) are invaluable
Michelle is our record keeper clocking up the hours we all spend beavering away on parish projects. With Liz she puts on the teas at fund raising projects - some would say the most important element!
When Carl isn't delivering babies he's out wielding a spade or a pair of secateurs. Bert's right hand man when it comes to gardening expertise. He and the family are great hosts when FStP has something to celebrate.
A keen member of the Group Liz kept the displays at Fort Grey looking superb all summer despite wind and rain. She and Michelle do a fab job of organising the tea and cakes at fundraisers
Jill was a founder member of the Group back in 2002. A few years later she moved parish and took a break. This summer she returned to St Pierre du Bois and we're delighted that she is now back on board!
