Britain in Bloom 'Champion of Champions judging route.

Judges arrived at Fort Grey at 9.15am and following a presentation in the magazine crossed the road to Guernsey Pearl. Then a drive along the coast to Le Douit, turning inland at the triangle to view the Conservation Herd in the orchid fields.
Then La rue de L’Eau, La Fontenelle and down the valley passing the water mill and Granary before driving up La Rue de L’Eglise to stop at Les Buttes. Here judges viewed the planters at the War Memorial and Douzaine Room. Driving on to pass the OId School Flats, pausing to look at the garden, through Les Brehauts junction (the filter) to the Food Hall complex and La Tourelle junction.
Along the main road turning right in to Rue des Heches and stopped at the T junction to look at Bert’s ‘Henry Hoovers’! On to the greenhouse at Roger and Sandra Robilliard in Rue des Prés..
On leaving, they turned right to continue along Rue des Prés, left at La rue des Landes and left again, through Les Brehauts to the Sure old telephone exchange, Marie de Garis Community Garden and the Post Office Car Park.
Then turning left at the Longfrie and left to view the displays around the Western Community Centre and the Apothecary Garden at the surgery. Back to Route du Longfrie and down to the school to view floral enhancements and projects there.
Next the judges walked through the grounds at Beau Vallon Self Catering, returning to their vehicle in Rue Rocheuse and drove along the coast to the L’Eree toilets to see what we did there last year. Then having walked through the Creux es Faies Walk, they joined the Mini Vraic Day which took place in the field at the headland, at around 12.30pm.
Along the way the judges met our Group members, volunteers, supporters and environmental and horticultural experts.
Around 200 people came along to Mini Vraic Day to meet the judges and enjoy celebrating seaweed.
